Greetings from a place of sunshine and sweat! I will try again to give a brief update on the whole family, not just myself and the ministry here. The biggest news item is that Havilah and Emily recently returned from 5 weeks back in New Jersey, visiting friends and family. We are glad to have them back. Havilah now has her driver's license. I think they both had a nice time and were glad to see their friends as well as Beth's side of the family. Thank God, He is so good!

The Bible school resumes again next week and we are looking forward to a good term with more classes offered than ever and record enrollment again. With the growth - which is of course what we want - comes additional challenges of keeping up with the increase as we continue the effort to establish New Life Bible College here in this southern part of the Caribbean.

Our newsletter is just now coming out so I don't want to repeat too much, but I do want you to know that - so far - things are going very well and we really want to thank you for your prayers because I know full well that this is what makes the difference. OK, more family news - Christina is again in public school and a different one than last year. She seems to like this one much more and we're all happy for that, though it is still very much of a daily cross-cultural experience in a language she does not speak. Beth has also started home-schooling her in addition to what she can receive at her school. Christina will turn 6 the day before Thanksgiving.

Emily is entering 10th grade (using the honors program in the A.C.E. home-schooling curriculum) and Havilah is taking classes full time here at the Bible College. She will be able to transfer these credits to an A/G college in the U.S. in the future.

OK. We could say more about both ministry and family, as well as the people and the culture here in the Netherlands Antilles but for now I think I should give it a rest because people hate you when you talk too much. :)

Thanks for all your love and prayers; we pray that God will return many blessing to you.

Please pray, too, for my mom who's had a rough time lately (3 hip surgeries) and is now facing replacement knee surgery in September.

Hello, Tim here

I think I can guarantee that this first blog will be pretty lame because I don't really know what i'm doing yet. Another missionary from "AGWM" has recommended this is a means of communication. My pastor uses "blogs" and I checked it out one time awhile back - and have thought about it - but never got this far before.

I will try to be sure my next entries are more . . . interesting!
